MODULE 1  ADDICTION – DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE
Aim:
Open the eyes of youngsters of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse through Video/DVD clips, discussions and personal experiences given by prison inmates. (Sedqa & Caritas )

PROGRAMME

9.15    Arrival at Millennium Chapel.  Words of Welcome and intro by Fr. Hilary .

9.25    Prayers and minutes of silent meditation in the Chapel.

9.35    Film clip on Drug Alcohol addiction by Sedqa

10.45  Break and Games in courtyard or Games Room.

Experiences by Caritas or Sedqa Inmates

12.45  Short closing prayer in Chapel

Buses to pick up boys from Portomaso Roundabout.

MODULE 2    I LUV FOOTBALL
Aim :
Showing the positive values of sport and physical exercise to build a balanced personality.  Mens sana in corpore sano. Healthy mind in healthy body. Video/DVD , meeting a player & hearing his experiences as well as playing a 5-a-side football match.

PROGRAMME

9.15 a.m.  Arrival at the Millennium Chapel.  Welcome by Fr. Hilary

9.25. a.m. Prayers in a few minutes of silence in the Chapel

9.35a.m.   Video clip of Pele’, Maradona, G.Best, Beckham etc. Talk and discussion on  values of sport.

10.35 a.m.  Break in Games Room and Courtyard

11.00 a.m.   Meeting a Football Personality and listening to his experience. Question time. (This session could be a practical session at Luxol or Melita turf pitches if students are not staying for a whole day)

12.15 p.m. Packed lunch or visit to Bay Street Take Away.

Walk up to Luxol Sports Club for a Training session and a 5 a-side match.

(Buses to pick students at Luxol/Melita if they book for a half day.)

3.30 p.m.  Buses to pick up students from Luxol Sports Club.

Luxol/Melita are to be paid 80 cents pp

MODULE  3   I LUV BASKETBALL
Aim :
Showing the positive values of sport and physical exercise to build a balanced personality.  Mens sana in corpore  sano. (Healthy mind in healthy body.) Run by Basketball personality Don Ross Video/DVD , meeting a player and hearing  his experiences as well as playing a Basketball game at Pembroke Athleta

PROGRAMME

9.15 a.m. Arrival at the Millennium Chapel.  Welcome by Fr. Hilary

9.25 a.m. Prayers in a few minutes of silence in the Chapel

9.35 a.m. Video clips Professional Basketball or Harlem Globtrotters  Talk and discussion on values of sport.

10.35 a.m.  Break in Games Room and Courtyard

11.00 a.m.  Meeting a Sports Personality- Don Ross or another  personality   and listening to his experience. Question time. (This  session could be substituted with a practical session if students are not booked for a whole day)

12.15 p.m.  Packed lunch or visit to Bay Street take away.

Walk up to Pembroke Athleta Sports Club for a Training session and a Basketball match.

(Buses to pick students who booked for a halfday)

3.30 p.m.   Buses to pick up students from Pembroke Athleta Sports Club.

These are the basic model programmes but we can have similar modules on any topic: like communication skills, child abuse, respect for authority (bringing in the Police, a teacher, a parent, a referee etc.)
