We welcome to our Community of the Millennium Chapel and the Mother of Good Counsel Church FR. MARIO ABELA OSA and FR. SAVIOUR GRIMA OSA.

FR. MARIO ABELA OSA who will be the New Rector of the Church and Prior of the Mother of Good Counsel Church.  Fr. Mario has been already a member of the Augustinian Paceville community for the past four years and so he is already well known and loved by all.  He will soon leave for his annual two month mission work in the Favelas of San Paolo-Brazil leading a group of enthusiastic young volunteers.  Fr. Mario has been training these youngsters for the last 8 months.

We welcome also FR. SAVIOUR GRIMA OSA, the New Director of the Millennium Chapel who will gradually take over the work done for the past twelve years by the Founder of the Chapel FR. HILARY OSA.

Fr. Grima has just left the Valletta Parish where he was much loved and respected particularly by the underprivileged members of the parish.  He will be in his field of work to continue the social and pastoral work in the Chapel.  

We welcome both these new posts and pledge to give them our support.

Fr. Hilary, of course, will remain with us as member of this community and will continue to give his service at the millennium chapel.

The Church dedicated to Our Lady of Good Counsel opens its doors once again

The Augustinian Church in Paceville dedicated to Our Lady of Good Counsel was given a new life after months of extensive work inside and outside the church. While the structure remained the same, the interior was changed to better serve the needs of this pastoral zone and to help the community feel closer to God. The designer, Amadeo Galea, under the supervision of Fr. Ray Francalanza OSA, prior of the same community, was responsible for this task, combining the modern and traditional styles.
