The first 10 Years of the Millennium Chapel

An Invitation For You To Make A Difference!
This year we are celebrating the tenth anniversary of the inauguration of The Millennium Chapel. As you are well aware, The Millennium Chapel has been envisioned by Fr Hilary TagIiaferro as an oasis of peace in the pulsating restless scene of Paceville.

The Millennium Chapel and its social arm WOW (Wishing Others Well) have provided hope, support, solace and a new beginning to many visitors.

The Millennium Chapel, which is a place for permanent adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, is an inclusive place of prayer open to all faiths.

WOW acts as a meeting place for many groups, an educational location and a source of support, to those who need it.

On the tenth anniversary of The Millennium Chapel, the Millennium Chapel  Foundation has decided to publish a book in English and one in Maltese, as well as a DVD, not only to celebrate the occasion but also to expound on the experience and promote the development of similar ventures elsewhere.

The book ‘Going Your Way!’ will offer a look at how The Millennium Chapel idea developed and came to fruition.  It will chronicle its history and explain how it is part of the Augustinian Fathers' response to a changing world.  It will also look at the future and how The Millennium Chapel and WOW will continue to strive for spiritual and social inclusion and reach out to those who need their help.

Appealingly laid out and profusely illustrated, ‘Going Your Way!’ will convey a message of hope and inspire those who are ready to follow the example of the many volunteers who help out at The Millennium Chapel.

Fr Hilary, with the support of a large number of lay people and the Augustinian community, has managed to change his vision into a reality - a reality that has touched many.  It is now up to us all to ensure that the message is communicated and that this wonderful experience continues to be a reality.

The publication will be particularly targeted at young people, probably the most vulnerable sector of our society.

This project obviously requires funding.  This is an appeal to you to contribute towards our expenses.  In this way you will make a difference.  The publishers are confident that, thanks to your sponsorship, the book will be available at a reasonable price and thus have the widest readership possible.

Do not miss this opportunity to spread this message of hope and solace to those who need it.  Any contribution is to be sent to ‘The Millennium Chapel’ Church Street Paceville, St. Julian’s STJ 3043, Malta.  Kindly include your Name, Address, E-Mail and Telephone number, also please state if you would like to be acknowledged in this publication or not.
